This is the second part of Asteroids Game series which we are creating in Blender Game Engine. In this tutorial you will learn:

  • How to create an object from a random set of props
  • How to acces object's mesh and vertices
  • How to animate an object using script in python
  • How to divide your Game Logic into well-aranged form

You can call this tutorial "Basic movement - part 2". If you haven't seen the first part, I recommend you to check it out:

Part 1 - Creating ship movement and engine animation

For this tutorial you will need this starterfile:

In this video we will finish the basics of movement scripting and create two "control objects" for asteroids and object positions. You will now see how things are connecting together in a well-aranged form and I will cover in the tutorial an effective way how to define our game area. After these two tutorial you will understand how to script creation, movement, rotation in your own Blender Game Engine projects. If you will have any questions, just write a comment and I will be glad to answer them for you :-).
